Left fielder Bernie Williams left the yard and had 4 RBI as the Chicago
Rastafarians defeated the Caracas Leones 11 to 5 at Minute Maid
Field.
Williams enjoyed a fine day at the plate. He hit a single knocking in a run
in the 2nd inning, bombed a two-run dinger (his 5th of the season) in the 4th
inning and laced a one-base hit plating a run in the 5th inning. For the
game Chicago out-hit Caracas 17 to 6.
The win went to Tomo Ohka(3-1) who allowed 5 runs in 6 innings. Jose Mesa
recorded the save, his 1st. The loss was charged to C.C. Sabathia(2-3).
With this win, Chicago has a division leading 29-20 record. They have been
6-4 lately. With the loss Caracas now has a record of 28-21.
